At D&S we will do everything we can to keep the costs to landlords down which is why we will always try to diagnose the fault over the phone before going out and our repair service is based on a FIXED LABOUR CHARGE no matter how long it takes to repair or how many visits we have to make! If we believe the appliance is beyond economical repair from our initial phone call with the tenant, we will inform the agent and offer some replacement options so that the landlord can make a decision on whether to try to repair or to replace with a new machine. All our new machines come with a minimum of 2 Year Warranty with some offering up to 10 years.

Here at D&S Corporate our engineers are highly trained and have been repairing all brands of washing machine for many many years. Our engineers can generally diagnose a fault over the phone and we will always call to see if we can resolve the issue with a washing machine without going out to the property and the landlord incurring a chrage for something that can be dealt with easily by the tenant.

One of the most common faults we come across is that the washing machine isn’t draining properly and possibly filling up with dirty water. Most of the time the washing machine can be ‘fixed’ by simply pouring some drain unblocker down the kitchen sink. This should always be the first port of call for this kind of washing machine problem before booking a repair engineer to come out and repair the washing machine.

Our freestanding & integrated washing machine repair service offers our clients a fixed labour charge with parts (if needed) added on. We can’t quote on parts until we have seen the machine as we won’t know what parts the washing machine may need. We can however give you an idea of the cost for parts based on our telephone call with the tenant.

Washing machines are not built like they used to be as there has been such a squeeze on prices of domestic appliances that manufacturers have been forced to use lower quality parts & materials when building them, this means that they don’t last like the used to either.

D&S are committed to keeping landlord costs down and so if we feel (after diagnosing the issue over the phone) that it would be more economical to replace with a new dishwasher we will offer 3 quotes to replace BEFORE going out to repair. This will mean that your landlords will not have a call out charge to pay in addition to the cost of a new dishwasher if it does need replacing.
